“Stripes” (1981)

There are many comedy fans who consider Stripes to be Bill Murray’s comedic masterpiece. However, it’s highly unlikely that the film would be made today, mainly because the whole plot revolves around whacky military hijinks, culminating in a faux “war” with the Soviet Union. In a post-9/11 world, a military comedy like that would likely never get major studio backing.
